I have enjoyed music my whole life. I started playing the piano when I was 6, the harp when I was 21, and the guitar when I was 22. I never thought I had the ability to write music until it was required for some of my music classes in college. After learning partwriting rules in my music theory classes, I realized that writing music was a talent I could work on developing. Later, my harp teacher incorporated hymn arranging and improvisation into my lessons. I am now a Board Certified Music Therapist and use music to bless the lives of people with disabilities.
