Quote: "The song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads." D&C 25:12

Alma Dittmer (7 Free Arrangements)

Alma Dittmer, deceased March 1980. Graduated from University of Utah in violin performance. Moved to NYC where he got his master’s at Columbia Teachers College in choir conducting. He then taught at East Carolina Teacher’s College in North Carolina. While holding the Chair of Music position at Kent State University he finished his PhD from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, in music composition & theory. He taught at Ricks College, Idaho for 6 years and then Utah State University for over 20 years in choir and music theory. He loved music and always challenged himself to create unique and interesting harmony. His compositions remain in his beautiful hand-written script until now – it is my goal to share his music with the public for their use and enjoyment. Many thanks to this web site for letting us post his music!! Email Kaye Sivori if you would like to send a personal note.
