Pianist, composer, educator, curriculum developer, adjudicator, and choir director, Alex Isackson has worked as a professional musician even before receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music composition. He’s written and arranged works for solo instruments, ensembles large and small, and songs for solo voice and choir. In 2022 he was commissioned to write and perform a piano concerto which was premiered by the Bradley University Wind Ensemble. He currently works mostly as a private piano instructor and curriculum developer for Hoffman Academy, while playing the organ, leading children’s music and his ward’s choir on Sundays.
