More about Dean Reed Guymon:
Trumpet; BS from BYU; Electrical Contractor; Master Electrician. At times melodies have come easily. One song was played on an Orem radio station for awhile. At 3 funerals and 2 sacrament meetings, Mother's Song was sung. Babe Of Light was sung in two sacrament meetings and at a stake "choirside." Mostly, my music has remained dormant for years.

The words and Melody were composed by Reed for his Mother about 1986. Caleb Cuzner created the very nice choir piano accompaniment in 2018.

Randy Crossette created a beautiful piano accompaniment for vocal solo. He and I presented it in a Mother's Day program in my ward and my mother was there and heard it. The song was written for her. Randy and I also presented it at Mother's funeral. My daughter, at the piano, and I singing, presented it at two other mother's funerals. A BYU brother played his own ad lib arrangement at another Mother's funeral as I sang. It was presented in one more Sacrament Meeting and has remained dormant for about 20 years.
Caleb Cuzner was kind enough to create this beautiful choir arrangement just a few months ago. We hope it will give a special message to Mother's who hear it, and who preform it. It has never been presented before, since this choir arrangement is new.
The melody came very easily for me one time when I thought about the subject. The words were easy to compose when you have a Mother who fits every word.
