Song background:

I normally don't put a back story to a piece, but I must on this one. Growing up and having FHE we sang Love at Home almost every time. The song gets OLD- Fast! Being Organist for now over 20 years, I roll my eyes when music director selects that piece. Until about 10 years ago, I ran across an arrangement by world/ward renowned organist Jim Kasen and immediately fell in love. About two years ago (during pandemic), I started adapting hymns to use during service because for about 6 months, there weren't any singing. As I tried to decorate the hymns where appropriate, I knew I would come across some I really disliked. Today was a success as I was able to adapt this piece to use as the opening hymn today. Enjoy.
