Comments for this piece:
From Carl M.: I've been searching for an arrangement of this hymn to play in sacrament meeting and now I've found it. I love this arrangement. It has a lot of variety to it and the change of keys blends together so well. Thanks for sharing your talent!

More about Sherrie Boren:
I grew up singing around the piano and guitar with my family. I learned chord progressions from my dad and harmony from my mom. I have enjoyed making music ever since, whether on the piano or the violin, in a choir or an orchestra. As I worked toward a degree in piano performance at BYU, I discovered a love for composing and improvising. It wasn't until several years later, when I had three small children, that I decided to try writing a song for church. I enjoyed it so much that I kept right on doing it.

for this piece (opens in a new window). This song is a narrative of the Savior’s life—from the peaceful stable in Bethlehem, to His suffering on the cross, to His triumphant victory over sin and death. The final verse was inspired by Eliza R. Snow's little-known 6th verse in the hymnal: "How great, how glorious, how complete: Redemption's grand design, Where justice, love, and mercy meet, in harmony divine." This song received an Award of Merit in the 2011 LDS Church Music Submission.
