MICHAEL K. ROLLINS is a data scientist by day and moonlights as a pianist, conductor, and arranger. His musical preferences include musical theatre, jazz, classical, sacred, and barbershop harmony. Classically trained, he'll discuss music theory to your heart's content. Michael's musical career got started accompanying church choirs and congregations at the age of 12, and founding a barbershop quartet and leading church choirs at 18. In his 20's, he music directed his first musical theatre shows. Now in his 30's, he conducts and arranges for religious events in northeast Ohio, USA. Married to a singer, they enjoy creating music together at home and church. Thanks mom for making me practice!

for this piece (opens in a new window).Easter Hosanna is a gorgeous song with lots of character hidden in the middle of the Children's Songbook. This rendition keeps the chords and structure of the presentation there, but applies a SATB voicing to the notes. There is a lot of room for interpretation to play with the timing and tone, especially on the chorus.
Can be performed a capella, or accompanied by piano or organ (flute stops + Nasard recommended). Practice tracks available upon request.
