Valerie Harris has been teaching piano and organ for over 30 years and has served as a church organist for 27 years. She has a B.A. degree in piano from Brigham Young University, where she also studied organ, harpsichord, choral conducting and composition. She has performed internationally and studied piano in Vienna, Austria with a teacher of pedagogical descent from Chopin. She has served for many years as the music chairman for a group of 12 church congregations in the area. She has served for music director for many community theater productions. She has written many vocal and choral pieces and hymn settings which have been performed at large women and youth conferences.
