More about Katy Francom:
Katy Francom has experienced a life full of music. She started violin at age 5, and grew into playing the piano with the help of her very patient mother, but singing has always been her first and truest love. She has a BA in music from BYU, where she learned from the best, and has spent the last 20 years building on that foundation, while simultaneously forgetting more than she cares to admit. She has taught piano and voice for the last 19 years and has directed various ward choirs a total of 7 times! Composing music is an endeavor that she finds deeply rewarding.
Song background:

This song has what I love the most -- rich harmonies and beautiful, meaningful lyrics.  The lyrics come from the poem, "Intimations of Immortality," by William Wordsworth. This song is meant to be sung a capella.  The piano is for rehearsal purposes only.

Katy's songs can be used for free for non-commercial uses.

Lyrics: Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfullness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home
