Song background:
I was pondering about the temple and the covenants we make and realized that there isn't a song that teaches children about them clearly. As I sat pondering, the phrase "Please teach me about the temple" kept coming back and the lyrics for the song came. The song teaches about temple covenants, our divine nature, and invites each one of us to prepare to make and keep temple covenants.

What do I promise there?
To love those in need in word and in deed,
And I'll find my Savior there.
Please teach me about the temple.
What do I learn there?
To be kings and queens and know what I need
That I may pass the veil.
Please tell me about the temple.
Tell me what I'll do there.
That I'll intercede for my ancestor in need
And help my family there.
Please take me with you to the temple.
I know I have prepared.
I'll covenant today, I'll learn and obey
And help my family there.
Will you come with me to the altar?
Both of our families are here.
Bind up our hearts with Christ as a part
We'll start our family here.
