My five-year old son is enthusiastic about anything related to knights, so it was with delight that he learned about the armor of God. He also loves to sing melodies and lyrics of his own creating.
One day, as I helped him get ready for his day, he started belting out, "The armor of God....What's the breastplate?"
"The breastplate of righteousness," I supplied.
"That's right. The breastplate of righteousness," he sang.
And, just like that, a song was born!
I wrote this song for him, so the lyrics and accompaniment reflect his young, earnest enthusiasm. Enjoy!
See both Ephesians 6:11-18 and Doctrine and Covenants 27:15-18
