Song background:

I wrote this arrangement of Teach Me to Walk in the Light to play with my daughter, who had been taking violin lessons for about a year. It is written so the violin plays the melody on the first verse where the lyrics would be a child talking to a parent. Then the piano takes over on the second verse with violin playing harmony, where the parent is talking to the child, and in the third verse the violin and piano take turns with the melody where the lyrics are both parent and child talking to the Lord. It is written for an early intermediate violinist. The recording was done with Jana Mendes on the Piano, and Anna Spataro on the violin.
