Song background:

As we have been studying the old testament this year, this hymn seemed an appropriate choice. I seem to keep feeling like its appropriate to publish versions which might suit different ranges of singers. I felt strongly about highlighting the change of mood expressed in the the third verse. I'm probably guilty of overusing the mediant modulation at the end of a verse, but - it seemed to fit well - again. I hope choirs find this arrangement useful!
