Comments for this piece:
From Connie Stauffer: Love this arrangement. I was looking for something I could dig my teeth into without breaking my jaw. Lovely arrangement!!! I'm using it for funeral prelude this week. Feel free to check out my music on this site.
5.0 stars.

From Linda Hartman: Found myself loafing with laptop in hand and thought to take a look at your pages. This is great stuff. You have such a nice variety of chords and new fresh things. I especially like measures 14-15. That little chord progression just jumped right out at me. Looks like you're stacking up some fans and nice user numbers. Well done!!

Song background:

When I was in high school I took piano lessons from a Grantsville High teacher naed Dan Butcher. He dove out to Tooele to teach lessons and he taught me more than just to play the piano. He taught me about what makes music what it is. He taught me chord structures, chord progressions, 7ths, 9ths, secondary dominants, borrowed chords - the works. It was like the lights came on for me and I could not get enough of it. I began to see the patterns in the music everywhere and I wanted to join in the fun. So for fathers day many years ago I wrote this piano solo and played it in church. I re-discovered it buried in the basement while I was going through the many things that have found their way down there over the years. It was fun to review it and to see how I thought things through (or didn't) and so being older, and hopefully a bit wiser, I made some edits that I felt might clean it up enough for use by others. I debated on whether to include it in the preludes or not, but it seemed a bit long and maybe to busy to be a prelude - but I certainly won't argue with how anyone uses it. Hope you enjoy playing it!
