Comments for this piece:
From Lynn: I appreciate your stylistic choices here. I wish the playback had Muse Sounds or some other sound font. The default sound fonts for Musescore and Finale is not great.

From Lynn Hall: UPDATE: It looks great and now sounds just as great. I enjoy the complexity of colors. I hope to be able to play it someday in a group of my own.
5.0 stars.

Song background:

One of the most popular Christmas hymns of all time. "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" (Veni veni Emannuel) origins can be traced back to a Benedictine Gregorian chant from the late 8th and 9th centuries. The chant was sung by monks in the week before Christmas to express the longing for the return of Christ, both his first coming and his second coming. The hymn's text includes the Messianic title "Emmanuel," which means "God with us". The hymn's tune, "Veni Immanuel," comes from a 15th century French missal and was originally used in funeral processions. But it wasn't until John Mason Neale transcribed the latin text to English that it became a popular Christmas hymn.

I've always wanted to arrange this piece for brass quintet, so here it is. I've taken some liberties, obviously in it's stylistic approach, but also with the melody itself. SInce the text will not be used for this arrangement the phrase endings have been changed for a bit more musical symmetry.
