More about Melinda Nixon Allred:
Trying to bring souls unto Christ one song at a time.
As I created this, I wanted a new sound for this hymn, so the chords I've used are a deviation from the original chord structure. Don't let the F minor and the E major chords scare you. It all comes together. I promise. The third verse is full and robust and leaves any minor chords out until the last few measures to recap the chord structure of the first two verses.
I've written cello in the accompaniment, but the demo mp3 uses a violin instead of cello, (which I MIGHT like better..) so I've included the music for violin, as well. You can choose which instrument you want. Techincally, you could also use a flute, although you would need to move a few of the lower notes around to accompdate the range of a typical flute. I didn't write in any bowing for the strings.
I"ve loved this hymn for a while now. Here's to hoping is makes its way into our new hymn book.
