I Will Help to Gather Israel is taken from a collection of songs called The Prophets Songbook which contains 17 songs of our modern-day prophets and themes from their presidency. This song was written to highlight a teaching of President Russell M. Nelson who said, "Nothing opens the heavens like...regular time committed to temple and family history work. That gathering is the most important thing taking place on the earth today. Nothing else compares in magnitude, nothing else compares in importance, nothing else compares in majesty. Yes, you have been prepared from before this life and born now to participate in the great work of gathering of Israel on both sides of the veil in these latter days."
