This arrangement was alot of fun to put together. One of the primary features of this piece is to imitate the sound of the Harp with large wide chords that are rolled like a Harp would be. This can be a bit of a challenge, but I believe it can produce a beautiful sound and with a slower tempo is certainly achievable with some practice. In wider reaches in the left hand I like to use my thumb to strike those notes that are a 9th from the root along with the note an octave above and doesn't really detract from the rolled feel too much. The the chords should definitely take a back seat in volume to the primary and secondary melody. Measure 28 is intended to stand out in both tempo and a bit in volume to emphasize- "oh it is wonderful" and is the only place where the rolls are intended to be left out. However, it your just to into it, it can certainly be left in and still be effective. Hope people will enjoy trying his one out. Playing hymn arrangements has been one of my favorite Sabbath activities for some time. Hope this one will be useful even though there are some challenges.
