I am a lifelong student of music with 11 years of piano instruction and 2 years of private vocal instruction. I currently work as a speech-language pathologist (and sometimes dabble in teaching piano and voice) and often use my musical background to help children use language. I have served as a choir director and Primary chorister and currently work with the Young Women in my ward. Thank you for viewing my work!

Song background:

I have always loved "Be Thou My Vision" and felt that its tune (Slane) fit well with the sacred words of "How Firm a Foundation." I wrote this piece for a choir with mostly women and very few men in a ward whose members truly exemplified what it meant to have a firm foundation. Enjoy!
