I recently experienced some challenges involving medical issues with my youngest daughter. As time went on, I realized these issues would persist for the rest of her life and completely changed the trajectory of where our family was headed. After a few years of surgeries and hundreds of medical appointments, my faith waned and I found myself not wanting much to do with God. However, He never gave up on me. He was always there with His merciful hand extended to lift me up when I was ready to accept it. Through many tender mercies, I decided to talk hold of that extended hand. Immediately I felt His love and forgiveness. I questioned how He could so easily forgive me despite how I treated Him. I thought back to His suffering for mankind in the Garden of Gethsemane, I thought back to His suffering on the cross, and I thought back to those words stated in the New Testament after the Savior lay in the tomb for 3 days – ‘He Is Risen!’. He understands everything I have gone through and has conquered both spiritual and physical death. Because He has conquered all, I can conquer all through His infinite grace. I arranged this song to convey the true joy I felt as I turned my life back towards Him. I owe Him everything.
