I recently retired as the Technical Services Librarian in the Utah Valley University Library. Besides my masters in Library Science I also have a masters in Music.
Song background:

This anthem was composed in memory of Jessie Evans Smith. As a youngster I heard her sing these words many times (obviously to a different melody}. In my opinion the melody starting at measure 22 is one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever written.

The piano accompaniment was written to also be playable as a piano solo, When doing that I would suggest skipping measures 36 and 37.

A 2-page vocal parts score and a computer generated sound file are included.
