I originally wrote this arrangement for my grandfather's funeral. It was my attempt to convey the bittersweet feelings I felt-remembering the good times I had with him, mourning his loss, and looking forward to a reunion with him after this life. When I play this, I think of how our lives are constantly changing, with comings and goings, meetings and partings. Some periods are light and peaceful, while others are challenging, yet deep and meaningful. Through it all, we hold to the hope of one day being reunited in heaven with all of our loved ones.
