Trumpet; BS from BYU; Electrical Contractor; Master Electrician. At times melodies have come easily. One song was played on an Orem radio station for awhile. At 3 funerals and 2 sacrament meetings, Mother's Song was sung. Babe Of Light was sung in two sacrament meetings and at a stake "choirside." Mostly, my music has remained dormant for years. It may be printed for non-commercial, home, church and incidental use. However, all rights are reserved.

Song background:

In 1980, while I was driving a car in Provo, this melody came to my mind and the basic theme of the song. Susan Christenson Aldredge helped me vary a few words and helped me alter the melody in one phrase so it was not so “Samish.” Later, Wendee and Dan Truman recorded the song and it played on an Orem radio station now and then for about a year. My brother, Garth, loved this song and Susan and I sang it at his funeral. Linda Evers told me that the song helped her greatly through some of her trials.

I never did get it with a piano arrangement. Caleb Cuzner created this excellent sheet music arrangement, so now others can use the song if desired.
