Song background:

Deuteronomy 31:6 has been one of my favorite verses since I ran across it during my first year of Seminary.

Be strong, and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

I remembered the strength I felt from this verse when my first son was about to graduate from Seminary himself, and wanted to share it with him in a song. This message to fear not and trust in the Lord is found throughout the scriptures, so it must be important for everyone. This exuberant anthem is for all my sons, and for anyone else who needs some courage in this tumultuous world.
