The only music lessons I ever took were for piano, but I was always interested in other instruments. One summer, I found my mom's clarinet from high school along with a book on how to play it. I quickly picked up a few notes, and soon became very attached to the old thing. My mom must have noticed, because for my birthday that year, she got me my own clarinet. Though I was ecstatic, I must admit that after the initial excitement wore off, I stopped practicing. At this point, I'm pretty rusty (not that I was ever that great in the first place). But I still love the instrument, and maybe one day will get practicing again. This was an arrangement I wrote for me and my friend who also plays the clarinet. We practiced it once before forgetting about it. We aren't very dedicated to our clarinets, but maybe someone else out there will be who will find a place for this piece.
