SATB and Piano. This is an easy arrangement of a familiar hymn for ward choirs with limited
rehearsal time.

The hymn begins with a standard six-measure piano introduction. The choir sings the first three verses in F major, as in Hymn 339 of the 1985 edition of the Hymns of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Then, they modulate into the new fourth verse.

Performance suggestions for the first three verses are:

  1. First verse, women unison until measure 7, then women harmony.
  2. Second verse, men unison until measure 7, then everyone harmony.
  3. Third verse, everyone harmony until they sing "break", then continue with the new fourth verse modulation.

(To help reduce rehearsal time, a marked version of Hymn 339 is also attached.)

This hymn’s melody is used in the anthems of multiple nations, and its lyrics may be adapted as needed.
