Without fail, every time I hear the the story of the first vision, the Spirit confirms so profoundly to me that it is true!  In this song, really wanted to capture the emotions of Joseph's experience.  What would "the powers of sin assailing" feel like?  And how does that contrast that with seeing "a shining, glorious pillar"?  This arrangement has been a spiritual journey for me, as I've reconnected with deeply spiritual experiences I've had in the Sacred Grove, and tried to convey that Spirit through the music of this song.
