This was inspired as a Christmas song for children to sing. I attended a concert where there was a christmas song sung from the view point of the inn keeper. I loved it and afterwards came up with the idea to write a song written from the viewpoint of the new star that appeared which guided the wise men to Jesus. The first verse is the star singing about how it points the world to Jesus. The second verse is how we can be like a star pointing others to Jesus.
