Here is a guitar and piano instrumental duet of Away in a Manger (using the tune from the standard hymnal, not the one in the Children's Songbook). This year I was asked to play this song on guitar in our Christmas sacrament meeting and a pianist was available to accompany. Because of the pandemic restrictions this year we could not have singers as special musical numbers so we kept this instrumental and I decided to create a custom arrangement to add harmonic and rhythmic interest. The melody goes back and forth between the guitar and piano so this is more of a duet instead of a guitar solo accompanied by piano. Guitar tablature is also included with suggested string and fret positions, this is for an intermediate guitarist who is comfortable with picking as this is not a strumming arrangement.
