Song background:

The lyricist for this song, Steven Haws, was moved to create the lyrics as he considered his relationship with his son and his desire to always be considered as his father, even in the eternities when may live with our true father.  This song is excellent for Father's Day sacrament meetings or other occasions where a song about fatherhood may be appropriate.  Steven requested Dean Hamill to create a musical setting for tenor solo and piano.  (Haws/Hamill)

Lyrics: Following is the first of several verses.
Will you still call me Father
When you see me as your brother
When we part the veil and see our home in heaven
When you know me once again, as you did in heaven when
We pledged we’d help each other back to Him
Oh will you ever call me Father there again?
