Song background:
I composed this song several years ago, but a few nights ago I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night with the thought that this song would work perfectly with Hand Bells. The next day I revised the score, adding the Hand Bell notes.
I know the Primary children in my ward love playing the Hand Bells when they have the opportunity. I'm assuming that others have Hand Bells and might like to sing and play this song.

Lyrics: Why do the bells of Christmas ring? Why do the little children sing?
Once a lovely shining star, Seen by wise men from afar
Gently moved until its light Made a manger's cradle bright.
There a darling baby lay, Pillowed soft upon the hay;
And his mother sung and smiled: "This is Christ, the holy Child!"
Therefore the bells for Christmas ring. Therefore the little children sing.
