Originally from Idaho Falls, Idaho; currently live in Southern California. Studied composition with Dave Sargent and Murray Boren at BYU; jazz arranging and electronic music at Cal State Los Angeles.
Song background:

The piano represents the man, who was converted to the Gospel late in his adolescence.  The violin, which represents the woman, tacits; then woman's conversion was long and gradual, with an intensity of spiritual experiences before the marriage.  (The theme of this third movement is heard briefly from the violin in the 4th movement.)
