Lyrics: "THE RISEN LORD" (Op. 3, Revised)
(A Dramatic Setting for Easter)
For SATB Choir, Soprano Solo, Baritone Solo, and Piano

PART 1 - The Resurrection
1 - Introduction
2 - Recitative: "And the first day of the week came Mary unto the sepulchre, and saw the stone taken away. And she started weeping, and looked, and saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had lain."
3 - Chorus: "Woman, why do you weep? They have taken away my Lord. Woman, why do you weep? I know not where they have laid him."
4 - Chorale: "Weep not, Mary, for your Lord has risen, and now is nigh."
5 - Recitative: "She turned around and saw Jesus standing, and knew Him not."
6 - Duet: "Woman, why do you weep? Sir, if you have borne Him hence, tell me where He is, and I will take Him away. Whom do you seek? I will find His body and take Him away. Jesus is risen, your risen Lord."
7 - Chorale: "He is not dead, but is risen again. And though death bound Him in its chains, He is not dead, but is risen again."
8 - Duet: "Mary! My Master!"
9 - Recitative: "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God."
10 - Chorus: "And where He goes, we may follow. And we may dwell with Him and His Father."
11 - Chorus (Mary Ran): "Then Mary ran and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord."
12 - Chorus (She Said): "And she said that the risen Lord had spoken to her, and had said these things unto her."
