Comments for this piece:
From Elayna Clegg: I am just an amateur songwriter, but I will give you my personal impression of your choral piece. I was immediately struck by the driving energy and assertive quality of this work. The serious and intense theme of final judgement is successfully described by your combination of musical elements. It feels like a complete statement, but could be very interesting as part of a larger narrative. The addition of a contrasting "bridge"could also add to the epic quality at work here.

This is the 12th selection in the oratorio, The Last Words of Mormon
Lyrics: But, behold, the judgements of God
will over take the wicked;
and it is by the wicked
that the wicked are punished;
for it is the wicked
that stir up the hearts
of the children of men
unto bloodshed.
And the Lamanites
came again unto the Nephites to battle;
and yet the Nephites
repented not of the evil they had done,
but persisted in their wickedness continually.
