Song background:

The first time I heard this poem, it was cited by Pres. Thomas M. Monson at the 2003 October General Conference. The older I get, the more I observe I am being watched; by neighborhood boys, past students and especially, my sons and grandsons. I hope I have built bridges of consequence they will want to cross in their lives. I am grateful for the great heritage I have that has built numerous bridges I have taken advantage of in mine.

This is a 2nd edition.
