for this piece (opens in a new window).This is a song I wrote in a hospital room for a friend who was dying. It was his words I was setting to music. In a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience, I found that in the process of writing the song, Heavenly Father was helping this man prepare to pass from this world to the next. Sunset became a medaphor for dying, and my very favorite part is the 2nd verse that testifies of the reality of our future resurrection.
