This piece was written originally as part of a medley, and latter broken out to serve as a stand alone piece. The opening is a chance to show off your accompanist. It's intended to let them lead for a little bit and have the choir accompany him or her for once! As most Christmas pieces I've done lately, there choir and congregational singing here.
