Comments for this piece:
From amaree: I love this! What a clever medley. It's going on my list for Christmas!
5.0 stars.

From Don Bugg: Just thrilling. Preparing it now to with my choir at Christmas/New Year time.
5.0 stars.

From Joshua: My choir and I love this arrangement, it is so powerful yet sweet! My constructive feedback is that we felt that the ending was a bit weak after so much... well, pure awesome... so we took the F in measure 54, made it an F#, and ended the song right there while the accompanist did a little flourish. Take that for what it's worth but, truly, thank you! This is a wonderful arrangement!
5.0 stars.

From A. Tilley: This is a beautiful song. We simplified the harmonies, since we had a smaller group. I love the addition of the Ukrainian Bell Carol. It was beautiful in sacrament.
5.0 stars.

From Helen Vernon: I love this arrangement. It doesn't detract from the original piece by Crawford Gates, but adds the feel of bells and the grandeur for a special number. Thanks for it.
5.0 stars.

More about Michael Bailey:
My name is Michael Bailey and music has always been my first love in life. I graduated from BYU with a BA in Music and spent time in composition and orchestration and music recording. I enjoy getting feedback so please reach out to me if you listen and have comments!
Song background:

I've always loved this Hymn by Crawford Gates. Interestingly, it turns out that Carol of the Bells fits right along with it. Where the choir sings "ding, dong" the words should be emphasized in the same way a bell should ring (go find a recording of the Tab Choir singing carol of the bells, they do it wonderfully).

2019 Update;

Based on feedback and my own reviews I'm submitting a new revision today.

Adding optional notes in multiple places such as on some of the 'bells' (which can end up being very quick reaches) and on two a capella sections (so its easier for your pianist to play with the choir if needed). Also an optional D for the basses in measure 5.

I also rewrote the the choir parts in m50, 58, 59 as there were some issues with a few things I felt were a bit awkward.

Fixed some music layout issues and a couple of piano part issue with overlapping hands.

Leaving the original mp3 for now.

Super excited to hear from folks trying it out! I love feedback - good or ... corrective. :)
