As a primary chorister for several years, I always wished to add variety to the songs and I thought the kids were capable of singing more difficult arrangements. I wrote several arrangements for our Primary programs to in an effort to try and enhance the messages and melodies to make them fresh on the ears.  I didn't want to take away from the integrity of the hymns though, as I tried very hard to preserve the original and powerful melodies and messages within them.  

I love this song - it's such a powerful reminder of how great our prophets are and how much they give in furthering the kingdom of God on earth.  It is especially humbling to remember the one who suffered much and gave much to open this final dispensation and bless the whole earth: Joseph Smith.
