Song background:

For SSAATTBB with piano accompaniment. The lyrics are from John 14: 27 and 18 (KJV). The opening section is calm and peaceful, as one might expect. The middle section (a cappella) is a bit agitated and repetative in a manner to give emphasis to the promises of the opening section. Then the piece ends with a shortened repeat of the restful and calm opening section. This is appropriate for worship services but is really more suitable as a concert piece.
