This piano solo arrangment is inspired by Sufjan's Steven's version of this hymn, and borrows a few of his instrumental lines. I love the lively, celebratory spirit of his arrangement, and I wanted to bring that feeling into a solo setting. The ostinato used throughout the piece helps the song to groove, and should make the song feel almost dance-like, which I feel is a fitting way to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
