During the holidays when I was younger and living at home with my family in Tooele, UT, I used to spend alot of time playing Christmas music while my mother sang. She had a great soprano voice and this song, Oh Holy Night, was by far my favorite to accompany her on. In fact, I love this song so much, it ranks on the top 5 of my all time favorite pieces of music. Majestic, glorious, divine and pretty-much-perfect-in-every-way are some ways that come to mind of describing this piece by Adaolphe Adam. I can only pray I've done it some justice here. This piece has been hanging around since last December when I finished the bulk of the work, and I've been toying and attempting to perfect it for months now. It's amazing just how much time a small ensemble piece like this can take.
