Rebecca (Becky) entered the world of music through concert band, playing clarinet, beginning in middle school and through her time at Ricks college. Recent years have put music back into focus in her life, through her calling as Ward Music Chairman, and Choir director. She has also participated in ward and stake choirs over the years, as well as singing in the choir for the California Bay Area production of Lamb of God, composed by Rob Gardner. She has always found great peace and comfort through the words and songs of the Gospel. Becky is the mother of 5 children, and in her free time enjoys creating in many different forms - art, crafts, music, poetry, sewing, digital design, baking, and scrapbooking... just to name a few.
After I pondered a spiritual topic for a while, I felt the need to write my ideas down as a poem. The result expresses the way that I am convinced (that I KNOW) that God is always anxiously calling for us to come to Him, eager to lift us and help us however we need it most. It doesn't matter where we are, or what we've done, or how we feel - He loves us unconditionally, and is so eager to bless us if we only lean on Him and trust Him. The instant we open our heart to Him, He is *THERE*! No questions asked. Just thrilled that we have made Him part of our lives, and ready to help us on our way to return to Him, and pour His spirit out upon us. We are the only thing standing in the way of God's presence in our lives. Let us be humble enough to invite Him in.
