From Rachel: I had an idea with this song for our Christmas program. We are telling the Christmas story from the perspective of the New World in the Book of Mormon. After reading 3 Nephi 1:9,11-14, we continue reading a timed narrative of verses 15-23 set to this prelude. I skipped lines to form a cohesive narrative that astonishingly aligns with the emotion of this song, even the parts of "unbelief" and "iniquity" line up with the part of this hymn that speaks of sin in the land, and following are messages of light and redemption in both the scriptures and music. I was touched to read these BoM scriptures set to this song. It. Was. Perfect. I am excited to include it in our program.
