I have always loved singing and playing musical instruments. I taught piano lessons for many years. I have sung in many choirs and done solo work, especially at funerals. I enjoy directing choirs and I compose music as a hobby. I love to write music to praise the Lord, express my testimony, or my feelings.

Song background:

This song was origianlly written as a camp song. Our woman of the scriptures that we were given was Mary the Sister of Martha. I had always thought that the scripture read, "She chose the better part", when it really says that she chose that good part. I focused on us choosing that good part. Mary was always found at Jesus feet: washing his feet, learning at hist feet and pleading at his feet. I focused on her and each of us learning at the feet of Jesus.
