When "Jesus Is the Way" was added to the new hymnbook, I was delighted to learn it was a Tongan hymn translated into English. However, when I listened to it, it didn't sound very different from the more traditional English hymns. I went in search of performances in Tongan (the title is Folofola Mai 'a Sisu) to hear how it was usually sung. After listening to multiple versions in Tongan for about two days straight, I felt compelled to try and create a choir arrangment that would bring a little bit of the Tongan spirit into our chapel.
