Comments for this piece:
From Kari: This arrangement is beautiful, simple and reverent. I used it as accompaniment for a congregational hymn today, adding in the melody notes in a few spots. We encouraged the congregation to sing the melody (unison). Its range is comfortable for me (a low alto). This setting helps the text feel more personal. I love it!

From Colleen Owen: I love how this arrangement brings out with beauty and sensitivity the meaning and depth of this message of this hymn. It is simple, but the beauty and richness of the accompaniment magnifies the spirit of the message. Our stake choir has sung this with an organ accompaniment which it adapts nicely to, and our ward choir has also sung this. Works well for small and medium size choirs. Highly recommend!

for this piece (opens in a new window). At the suggestion of my Stake Music Chair, I decided to use this hymn as a warm-up with my ward choir. We sang it for many weeks from the hymnbook working on parts, then blend, intonation, following the conductor, etc. I wanted to sing it in church, but desired an arrangement using the parts they already knew. This arrangement came quickly one Sunday afternoon after weeks of pondering. It is simple and reverent, reflecting the text's message of gratitude and love for Christ.
