I arranged this for our church Christmas program, as I couldn't find a four-part arrangement of In the Bleak Midwinter that captured the mood I wanted and that wasn't too difficult for our singers. The piece uses the Holst tune (more popular in the US), and the vocals in verses 1 and 4 closely follow the standard 4-part arrangement of that hymn. The piano interludes between verses are based on the Darke tune, which is more commonly associated with this hymn in the UK.
