In looking for an arrangement for my ward choir to sing, I couldn't find quite what I wanted: something just a little bit fancier than the hymnbook version. But I was inspired by Peter McClanahan's piano solo, as well as an interlude by Jihan Joo, and I used those as a basis to create an arrangement that would work for our choir. I share the final result with permission.
I intended this to be sung in unison with women singing one verse, men singing the next, and then everyone together for the final verse, so it is well suited for a 2-part choir or a youth choir. However, you can also easily use the arrangement for primary or a solo if desired.
