   I Will Try is taken from a collection of songs called The Prophets Songbook which contains 17 songs of our modern-day prophets and themes from their presidency. This song was written to highlight a teaching of President Heber J Grant who always quoted the famous poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson: "That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not that the nature of the thing ilself is changed, but that our power to do is increased."
Children can learn that they should keep trying.

					Lyrics: I can improve every day;
I know small steady steps are the way.
I want to be better so that is why,
I'll try and try; I will try!
I will be stalwart and strong;
I'll keep dreaming and moving along.
I want to be better, so that is why,
I'll try and try; I will try!
This is a great day to start;
I'll work harder and will all my heart.
I want to be better, so that is why,
I'll try and try; I will try!
